Why use my services?
I have worked in Human Resources for the past 5 years and that equals a lot of hours short listing CV's, Interviewing people over the telephone, taking them through assessments, or grilling them (in the nicest possible way) over the other side of the interview table.
When a job is advertised recruiters are flooded with applications (sometimes hundreds of CV's for just one position!) can you imagine having to be the person sifting through each application trying to determine who will be best for the job?.
Its hard work and names on paper can easily become one big blur.
Having a good CV that ticks the boxes (so to speak) will set you out in front of the rest. Getting the interview is the hardest part. Once you are in front of a panel you have much more of an opportunity to make an impact.
Who should use my services?
If you are currently unemployed, thinking about moving onto greener pastures, are an upcoming or recent graduate then you can benefit.
I am experienced in recruiting for positions ranging from Entry Level / Graduate positions through to Middle Management and Senior Advisors.
How does the CV Service work?
It is all very simple
You contact me by sending an email to Taniat@taniatebbutt.com introducing yourself and which of my services you are interested in.
I have generated a questionnaire which I will send you to fill out. This asks you basic questions in a clear format about your skills (i.e. what computer packages you can use), your interests, your previous work experience etc.
You send this questionnaire with your current C.V (if you have one) to me and I prepare a draft C.V for you.
Your C.V is a very personal document so I will ask for your input. My work is not done until you are happy with the end result.
If either of us feel we need further discussion – I’ll make a suitable time to call you and talk through areas of you work history that need a little more attention.
If you have chosen to have a Cover letter prepared also then this will be incorporated into the process. How does the Interview Coaching Service work?
I will explain to you what is typically expected at a standard Behaviorally Based Interview (this is the most common interview technique used today)
Basically it is a form of questioning requiring the candidate to describe a situation, what you did and then what the outcome was.
I have a “bank” of interview questions to select from dependent on your profession that I will share with you.
You will be given the questions and asked to prepare answers as if you were in the interview.
This gives you the chance (before the big day) to sit down and think of all those wonderful work examples where you have saved the day, diffused an argument or come up with a money saving initiative!
I will then give you feedback based on the answers you have prepared.
I’ll also give you tips on how to conduct yourself, engage with the interview panel, what questions to ask them and how to avoid putting your foot in it when they ask tricky questions like – “so what are your salary expectations?”
Telephone interviewing
This is an extra service I can provide paired with the above.
You do the preparation and I phone you (at a pre arranged time) and act as the interviewer.
Telephone interviews are becoming more and more common but that doesn’t make them less scary!
Additional feedback is given after this interview. |
